Naloxone Saves Lives Prezi

Written by Kirsten Horsburgh on Thursday, 18 September 2014.

I was delighted to be asked to deliver a presentation on the Scottish Naloxone Programme at the recent King’s College ‘Naloxone Saves Lives’ conference in London. Despite the short notice the event was well attended and it appeared that the majority of people there were impressed by the programme in Scotland and would like to see more availability of take-home naloxone in England.

Several people came to speak with me following the event and have been in contact since, requesting the presentation and for advice to share with people in their area in order to get things moving. To quote my colleague Jason Wallace, naloxone should be the 'bread and butter' of our overdose management and I hope this event has encouraged more action for widespread availability of THN for people who use drugs in England.
